FAQs

Is it okay to come alone?

Absolutely! The groups are kept small (6-10 usually) and the attention will be on the presenters.

How many friends can I bring?

If space allows you can bring up to 9 friends. If you bring 7 then we will call that a full class and your fee for the workshop will be waived. You come free for making our job easier. These workshops can be a great way for you to connect with friends over shared interests and to celebrate a special occasion.

I don’t eat a plant-based diet. Will I like the food and will I feel hungry afterwards?

A good question. Our chefs take pride in making food that is nourishing, delicious and filling. No-one goes home hungry! They will be available to answer questions you may have about the ingredients and methods used.

What do I wear?

Most people arrive in comfortable, casual clothes. But these workshops are for your pleasure so wear whatever suits your mood!  However, if you are participating in a yoga class then you will need loose pants or leggings and a top that stays put when you move. Yoga is performed in bare feet.

I want to go to a workshop but I’ve never done yoga. Will it be hard and will I get sweaty?

Our yoga instructors are trained to adapt the class to student need even if there is a mix of student ability. When you sign up for a class we will ask you about your yoga experience and any injuries or limitations you may have and your instructor will help you adapt postures to suit you. Our yoga classes are generally relaxing. Very challenging (and sweaty) classes will only be taught if the group requests that. If you like a workshop topic but prefer a workshop without yoga, then send us an email and we will consider holding your favourite workshop without yoga another time.

Should I bring my mat, towel and water bottle?

Mats, towels and water are available but you may bring your own if you like.

I will need coffee when I arrive. Can I bring my take-out with me?

Yes, of course. But there will be coffee, tea, cold drinks and a light snack available for you when you arrive.

I have food/scent allergies. Can you accommodate that?
Yes. If you book more than a week ahead then our menu can be adjusted for your allergies. And if you have a scent allergy or sensitivity then we will be mindful of that as well. When you sign up you will be sent a confirmation email asking you about allergies and sensitivities.
I have difficulty sitting or standing for long/I need help getting to the front door. Will I be okay?

When you sign up, we will send a confirmation email asking you about mobility issues. We can have a comfortable armchair, footstool and pillow for you and we will have a mid-talk stretch (talks are for 45 min or less at a time.) It is a casual environment so feel free to move about as you like. For meditations, we will have chairs available as well as pillows and mats. The driveway is left free for cars belonging to individuals with mobility issues and we are very happy to have someone meet you at your car to help you to the door.

What should I do if I am not comfortable using PayPal or eTransfer?
Just email or call us and we will book your workshop for you and arrange for you to pay upon arrival.
Is there parking nearby?

Yes, there is plenty of free parking on the street. When you sign up we will send you a confirmation email with driving directions and parking instructions.
