Your day will begin with a beautiful heart-opening yoga class with Michelle Marcos, followed by light refreshments. Then nutrition professor Amy Symington will bring you up to date on what the latest research teaches us about how to eat for optimum health. You will learn the benefits of moving towards a plant-based diet and become informed about how to safely and most easilly make healthful changes. Join us for a half-day urban retreat of meditation, illumination, movement and delicious eats! Upon arrival you’ll experience a grounding meditation and yoga practice, then a presentation about plant-based diets including the benefits and challenges of eating this way. We will then enjoy a delicious plant-based lunch.  The learning will continue with a practical guide to going plant-based including how to ‘veganize’ recipes while eating out and at home. You’ll leave with a recipe booklet so you can experiment at home with your new knowledge.

He will demonstrate how to make vegan 'fish' sauce from scratch. We work in groups of two to bring these dishes to life with the support of Chef Jack, and we all sit down together afterward to enjoy the dishes we made in a community-style dinner.
